Brand guidelines for Giftly, a location-based gifting app. As creative director I wanted the aesthetic to be very DIY feeling, so we landed on an illustration-focused, mid-century feel. Old handbooks and do-it-yourself guides from the 1960s felt like a unique approach amidst a lot of skeuomorphic sites at the time. This direction felt vibrant, kinetic and slightly askew, which matched what a custom gift card should feel like. 
A set of funky icons for the various categories of gifts.  
Illustration system for Giftly, modeled after the illustration work of Charley Harper. We wanted the illustration to have this almost sketchy feel with broken lines and earthy colors.
